About time I did SOMETHING with this page...

Wed Feb 4, 2009, 10:46 PM
Hey, gals & gents. After 2 solid years of anonymous commentary on actual artists' work in several fan-fields, I finally saw fit to muck about with my own DA account. Once I've got my list of those artists (and my Faves) in order, I beseech thee to check 'em out-unlike yours truly, they actually boast talent, and deserve the attention.

Since a massive portion of my online time is taken up with the aforementioned commentary (and will be further still occupied with some belated fave-age), don't expect too many diary updates; my home life's pleasant enough, but makes for mind-meltingly banal reading/discussion.

Thanks for dropping by.

Basically, this project plays with the concept of Godzilla 94, a monster created by an ancient civilization defending the Earth from aliens, but using an ORIGINAL monster.

One thing I'm always hearing is that while the 94 American script was good, it would have worked better if another monster was used, so I did just that. What do you think?

You remember the Godzilla vs. Gryphon project I was doing? Well, I scrapped it in favor of something a it more original. Imagine it to feel like a cross between Godzilla vs. Gryphon and Steve Miner's Godzilla 3-D. Here's what I have so far:

I was wondering if you'd answer my earlier question on Scatha's pic of my character.

Well, glad you dug the recolors...and aside from [link] 's "Gojira Resurrection," I have a hard time visualizing any non-film Goji-design better suited for anime/manga action than G'94 here.

Most of those designs do seem tailor-made for either medium (or the current batch of anime/manga-influenced American comics/toons). GN's dorsals do seem a bit exaggerated to my eyes, but that's about all I can harp on.
